Categorization tags are a method of embed filtering that channel owners can leverage to better segment their channel content for a variety of audiences. This is useful for channel owners whom would like to provide their audiences with a more specific viewing option.
To explain how this works, please see the screenshot below:
Notice two important items:
The Red Arrow denotes the Title of this category. In this case it is titled "AllWebcasts" and it has a few children.
The Black Border denotes the children of this category. These are the values that are assigned to this specific category. By specifying which type of content a user would like to view, they have a choice to only see content they are interested in.
To see this in action please observe the below screenshot.
The screenshot represents a typical BrightTALK embed that is enabled with Categorization Tags.
In this example
- The title of the Category is "Language"
- The values are: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish.
Users who arrive at this embed can use this filter to select specific values that pertain to the category of webinars they would like to View. For example, If one would like to view a webinar in the German language, select the "German" value.
In order to request the activation of categorization tags on your channel, please fill out the attached spreadsheet and provide it to support@brighttalk.com.

* You may have up to 3 separate categories
