How does the BrightTALK app work?

Our new BrightTALK apps for iOS and Android give you on-the-go access to your subscribed BrightTALK Channels.  You can watch webinars live or download webinars to your iOS or Android device over a mobile data or WiFi connection, then view them when it’s most convenient - whether you have an Internet connection or not.

Here’s how it works:

 First, if you haven’t already, you'll need to create a BrightTALK account.

If you have viewed BrightTALK webinars before, you may already have some channels subscribed to your account.  

If not, search on BrightTALK for channels containing webinars you want to view.

When you open the app for the first time on your mobile device, you will be prompted to log in.  Use your login details from the website.

Once you’re logged in, you will be shown the list of channels to which you subscribed on the website.   At the moment, it is not possible to subscribe to new channels from within the app.

 By selecting a channel, you can access the webinars within it. 

When you select the webinar you want to view, the description will appear. 
You can then choose whether to play it now, or to download it for offline viewing.

Note:  Some webinars may appear in the list, but may not be available for playback or download due to technical limitations.

If you choose to download the webinar, it will be added to the “Downloads” list. 
Select “Downloads” to view your download queue.

Once the webinar has finished downloading, select it to start playback. 
It will play whether or not you have an Internet connection available.

You can also view live webinars from the app by navigating to the "Home" tab, you'll see the word LIVE above any webinar live at that time. 

You can then click to play the webinar.
