How do I interpret my report charts?

There are a number of report charts available within your channel management area. Below is a summary of each:

Channel audience by month

Summary of purpose
This chart shows the number of subscribers in the channel for the past 30 months. This chart also clarifies the number of subscribers that have registered for your webinars and videos from the BrightTALK portal (referrals).

Clarification of X/Y axis
The y-axis is the total number of subscribers in the channel, while the x-axis is the month. This chart is cumulative.

Legend
Green: Free BrightTALK referral (someone that found the content through the BrightTALK portal)
Grey: Direct subscriber (someone driven by the client into the channel)

Audience growth over timeimage3.png

Summary of purpose
This chart gives a detailed view of how the audience develops for a specific webinar. The chart shows when attendees are acquired on a day-by-day basis. Day 0 is the live day. The chart starts on the day the webinar is created (x-axis). Only 90 bars are ever shown. If you know the date a promotion went out, you can tell how effective it was due to the impact on registrations.

Clarification of X/Y axis
The y-axis is unique webinar attendees (total registrations). People who watch the webinar or video live and on demand are counted as a live viewing. The x-axis is days before and after the webinar. Day 0 is the live day.

Legend
Purple: Pre-registrants
Gray: No-shows (Registered but have not yet viewed)

Clarification of X/Y axis
The y-axis is unique viewers. The x-axis is minutes into the presentation. The green bar shows the number of people tuned in, while the black line is the number of exits.

Time t=0 is the webinar or video start time.

Distribution of on-demand viewers by minutes viewed

image5.png

Summary of purpose
This chart shows the distribution of viewing length among the on-demand audience. The chart aggregates total viewing minutes by attendee. The bars show the total number of viewers who watched at least that much content, while the midline shows the average length the on-demand audience watched the content for. In this example, half of the audience watched fewer than 8 minutes. This chart shows how impactful the on demand asset is at retaining the audience.

Clarification of X/Y axis
The y-axis is unique on demand viewers (excluding those who also watched the webinar or video live). The x-axis is total minutes viewed.

Legend
Green: Unique On Demand Viewers
