This article will explain what a Historical Sync entails and how one can use it.
Note: When doing a One-Time sync, please be aware that the sync does not sync based on webinar but on date.
In order for you to capture data accurately you must first make note of when you are trying to capture data. There are two scenarios:
1. A Full Historical Sync
In the case that you are missing data or you have set up your integration after you have already run webinars on your channel, you will want to do a historical sync. Please make note of when a subscriber first joined your channel. This can be found in your Channels Insight tab. Go to the last page of the Insight tab to see when your first ever subscriber joined.
- Set the date accordingly in the connectors tab.
The sync will push everything starting from that date. You have completed a full Historical Sync.
2. You want to sync all Data specific to a webinar
You cannot choose to sync based on only webinar, but if you would like all data related to a specific webinar that is possible. Go to the webcast reporting section of the webinar in mention and find when a user first registered to that webinar. Then do a historical push based off that date. This will ensure that you capture all preregitrant data as well as any viewing data that happened afterwards.
Important: Scenario 2 should only be done if you feel that you are missing data for a webinar. Otherwise the hourly sync will have synced data for you automatically.
