BrightTALK's Connectors sync data from your BrightTALK Channel(s) and Campaign(s) under two conditions:
- When new activities take place, in which case your scheduled hourly, daily, or weekly sync will send through the data.
- When you manually initiate a "historical" or "one-time" sync of data.
On the BrightTALK platform, there are six different activities an individual lead can take, each of which would cause them to be sent through the Connector. Each of these activities has a specific set of fields and data points associate to it:
- Subscription: The lead has subscribed to your BrightTALK Channel. Can happen independently or concurrently with engaging with a webcast. This activity typically only includes basic contact information (name, email, etc.), since there is no specific content associated it.
- Webcast Activity: The lead has registered or viewed a talk, webinar, replay, or video in your Channel. In addition to providing basic contact information, this sync will include more granular activity data such as Webcast Title, Minutes Viewed, and Campaign Reference.
- Campaign Activity: The lead has been added to one of your paid Intent or Summit lead Campaigns. In addition to providing basic contact information, this sync will include Campaign specific data such as Campaign Display Name and Campaign ID.
- Attachment Activity: The lead has viewed or downloaded an attachment on one of your talks, webinars, replays or videos. In addition to providing basic contact information, this sync will include attachment specific data such as the name and type of the Attachment. Note: This sync will only run if attachment specific fields are mapped in the Connector.
- Question Activity: The lead has asked a question during one of your live talks or webinars. In addition to providing basic contact information, this sync will include data about what question the user asked and whether or not the presenter answered it. Note: This sync will only run if question specific fields are mapped in the Connector.
- Survey Activity: The lead has answered a "Channel Survey" on one of your Channels. In addition to providing basic contact information, this sync will include data about what Survey the user responded to. Note: This sync will run if Survey specific fields are mapped in the Connector.
