There are two distinct differences between Talks and Pro Webinars:
- Difference 1: Talks allows you to present using your webcam, whereas Pro Webinar is audio only, accompanied by slides or a screenshare.
- Difference 2: Talks enables you to present using a VoIP service, whereas Pro Webinars require a phone dial-in to present.
If you would like to schedule a webcam presentation with 1-4 presenters, you will need to use Talks. If you do not have a phone dial-in available, but will be presenting a slide deck (with no webcam), you will also need to use Talks.
In some cases, Talks and Pro Webinars also look different on the viewers’ side, and this may influence your decision. See below how each option looks from the perspective of the audience when used in a variety of formats:
Pro Webinar with Microsoft PPT slides
Pro Webinar with Screen Share
Talks solo presentation using webcam
Talks interview between two speakers
Talks panel with three speakers
Talks Panel with 4 Speakers
Talks using screen share with no webcam enabled
